For almost one hundred years we at the “Cascina Fontanette” farmstead have been working with grapes and producing genuine wines, with the simplicity and experience derived from work and love for the land.
Today we have got 8 hectares of land that I, Franco, manage with the help of my parents, who have worked as winemakers for their entire life.
We produce different types of wine which express all the richness of this incredible land, between the extreme edges of the Langheand the first hills of Monferrato.
In our winery you will find authenticity, transparency and passion, and you will be welcomed by a warm and familiar environment. You can also discover the history of our products which can be purchased on site or by home delivery.

VISIT TO VINEYARD. The tour starts from the large courtyard, up the steep slope of the hill of Moncucco. Here we will guide you to the discovery of our oldest vineyard, illustrating the difficulties of manual work and harvesting.
You will see a lush vineyard surrounded by fertile vegetation. A vineyard in which man does nothing but support the beauty that already exists.
This is the main pride of Cascina Fontanette: the splendour narrated by Cesare Pavese, the magical “Hill of the South Seas”, mother of excellent grapes and incomparable wines.
We will respond with passion to your questions and, after a break under the secular fig tree that shades the hill, we will show you the most recent vineyards explaining every detail of the production.
VINIFICATION. The visit will then continue in the winemaking and aging rooms, located on two floors, where we will explain you the operation of the various machines.
Between the cold room and the wine press, we will show you thestages of vinification from the arrival of the grapes in the cellar to bottling. When not in use, we will show you their interior to help you understand the mechanism of operation.
THE CELLAR. From here we will move to the cellar where you can see our barrels, that are now made only in steel and fiberglass, but soon supplemented by some barrique.
We will tell you about the timing of the wine and the needs of the individual varieties, and then show you the bottling and labelling system.
Along the way there will be stories, both beautiful and ugly, that in many years of work have left an indelible mark on our cellar.
AT THE END OF THE TOUR it will finally be time to sit down in therecently renovated tasting room, with two large wooden tables and an elegant and warm look, perfect to be enjoyed with wine and company.
You can then choose which wines to taste, according to your personal tastes or to the interest generated by the various explanations.
You will be guided in the tasting to better recognize the characteristics of the different products. You can choose between three types of tasting.

Great place for wine tasting. The owners spent a lot of time taking us for a tour to visit the vineyard and to pick the grapes. They also put the effort in explaining us all the preserving and manufacturing processes. The wine tasting experience was wonderful – both the food and the wines were amazing. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.
The wines there are of great quality and come with a surpringly low price.
Their Nebbiolo, Barbera d’Asti, and Ebrezza, in my opinion, are the best.

Bellissima esperienza in questa cascina!
Abbiamo fatto solo un giro veloce nella vigna per via del tanto caldo ma devo dire che con la Signora Carla e con a ragazza (purtroppo non ricordo il nome ma molto gentile e cordiale) ci siamo sentiti a casa. Non aspettatevi posti chic ma più un posto “home” con i loro vini che sono a dir poco fantastici…… Conclusione, dopo 3 ore, 9 bicchieri di vino (inclusi vermuth e vino liquoroso chinato offerti), una cassa di vino da riportare a casa e tante chiacchiere tra un bicchiere e l’altro, siamo andati via molto soddisfatti e contenti dell’esperienza.

Altissima qualità e tanta devozione in quel che si fa. Un lavoro per passione del signor Franco gentilissimo ad illustrare il tutto. Abbiamo fatto una giornata interamente dedicata alla formazione del vino. dalla stagionatura alle cantine su come vengono imbottigliate le bottiglie di vino. Prezzi giustissimi. Consiglio di non andare nel fine settimana la troppa affluenza . Luogo incantevole nel verde dei vigneti delle Langhe . Meraviglioso

Abbiamo portato la nostra sposa per l’ultima attività a vendemmiare presso la cascina fontanette. Nonostante siamo arrivate dopo l’orario, abbiamo contattato Franco che ci ha permesso comunque di godere del pranzo, della vendemmia e della pigiatura in maniera esclusiva.
Ci tengo anche a sottolineare la disponibilità nell’accontentare le nostre esigenze: vegetariane e vegane pienamente soddisfatte dalle alternative proposte.

Per festeggiare il compleanno di mio marito gli ho regalato (e mi son letteralmente regalata a mia volta) una esperienza di degustazione vini in questa cantina dove per una mezza giornata ci siamo immersi nei racconti del proprietario – gentilissimo e molto disponibile a rispondere a domande e curiosità – che ci ha proposto una visita guidata delle sue vigne, ci ha illustrato tutte le fasi della produzione del vino e infine ci ha fatto assaggiare alcuni dei vini da loro prodotti, dimostrandosi anche disponibile a consigliare in caso di dubbi o domande. La degustazione era accompagnata da ottimi prodotti locali. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti e torneremo sicuramente. Grazie!

La visita in questa cantina è stata davvero una bellissima esperienza. Il signor Franco, che ci ha guidato nella visita, è un vero appassionato del suo lavoro, e ci ha spiegato con precisione le varie fasi di produzione del vino, sempre disponibile alle nostre domande. I vini degustati e i prodotti con i quali li abbiamo accompagnati tutti ottimi e di grande qualità. Da questa visita si esce davvero soddisfatti!
