Pietro Cassina personally leads, together with the contribution of his wife and children, a small company of about 7 hectares in Lessona, in Upper Piedmont, whose vineyards have belonged to his family for several generations. The company is in Lessona, in the province of Biella, a small town in the northeast of Piedmont surrounded by hills and mountains, not far from Monte Rosa and Turin. The property covers an area of about 7 hectares of vineyards, as well as several hectares of surrounding woods that create a particular microclimate for the cultivation of Nebbiolo.
The Lessona area is one of the few areas in Italy and in the world where this vine finds its ideal environment. We are in the Super Volcano area, also officially recognized by UNESCO, where the “terroir” is very particular, with a highly acidic pH (3.5-3.7 ph). The abandonment of the vineyards of Upper Piedmont at the beginning of the twentieth century meant that today’s hectares of vines, about 1300, are in the best-exposed plots and surrounded by woods that create an ideal microclimate for the cultivation of local native vines (Nebbiolo, Vespolina, Croatina, Erbaluce and Uva Rara). The Monte Rosa massif protects us from too cold winters and too hot summers.

The Classic Tasting includes a tour inside our cellar to observe where the wines are aged before being bottled.
Then, passing through a tunnel of two illuminated waterfalls, we will climb into the starry tasting room, where you will have the opportunity to taste 4 wines, including a Lessona.

PRIVATE TASTING – min 2p – 1h 30 min – € 35pp
The Private Tasting provides a unique path inside our historic cellars, to discover the places of production and the underground cooper to observe where the wines stop before being bottled.
Only with this tasting, if you want, you can taste the wine directly from the barrels.
Then, passing through a tunnel of two illuminated waterfalls that regulate the humidity of the cellar, we will climb into the starry tasting room, where you will have the opportunity to taste 5 wines, including 2 Lessona.
What is included: Visit of the winery and taste 5 wines, including 2 Lessona, accompanied by local products.
BLIND TASTING – min 5p – 1h 30 min – € 45pp
The Blind Tasting includes a tour inside our historic cellars, to discover the places of production and the underground cellar where the wines stop before being bottled.
Then, passing through a tunnel of two illuminated waterfalls that regulate the humidity of the cellar, we will go up to the starry tasting room, where you will have the opportunity to taste blindly 5 wines; if you guess at least 3 labels (including the vintage) You win a bottle of wine.
A curious and fun tasting in which, immersing yourself in the flavors of Nebbiolo of Upper Piedmont, you will be put to the test.

VERTICAL TASTING LESSONA – min 4p – 1h 30 min – € 60pp
The Vertical Tasting provides a path inside our cellar to observe where the wines are aged before being bottled.
Then, passing through a tunnel of two illuminated waterfalls, we will climb into the starry tasting room, where you will have the opportunity to taste the best expressions of the territory through the tasting of 5 different vintages of Lessona.
What is included: Visit to the winery, taste 5 Lessona wines accompanied by local products.
VERTICAL TASTING VESPOLINA – min 4p – 1h 30 min – € 50pp
The Vertical Tasting provides a path inside our cellar to observe where the wines are aged before being bottled.
Then, passing through a tunnel of two illuminated waterfalls, we will climb into the starry tasting room, where you will have the opportunity to taste the best expressions of the territory through the tasting of 5 different vintages of Vespolina.
What is included: Visit to the winery, taste 5 Vespolina wines accompanied by local products.
