At the beginning of 1900 when all his brothers and sisters abandoned the countryside, our grandfather Angelo, known by all as “Piculin” because he was the youngest of the family, was the only one to believe in the richness of our territory, recognized only many years ago. later a UNESCO heritage site, with its different landscapes from one hill to another, with the fruits that the land could offer and above all for the great wines it produced, precisely for the latter he began to produce small quantities, immediately to use precisely to refine winemaking techniques and subsequently for his acquaintances, who after having tasted them asked him for small quantities in order to have their own personal “supply”. This first pushed him and subsequently our parents Eleuterio and Michelina to expand the land and rediscover native vines that had been abandoned.
With the same passion that was passed on to me, now I Margherita, helped by my family, carry on the winemaking tradition, experimenting with new refinements and processes to always improve our wines, respecting the environment, to preserve our heritage.
Our tradition and connection to the territory meant that I chose to keep the name Piculin, replacing the syllable “cu” with a simple Q, the protagonist in our logo, a symbol of renewal and youth, which recalls the sun rising from the hills del Roero and marks the dawn of our fourth generation carried on by Chiara, Umberto and Francesca.

Run by the sweetest couple in Italy 🇮🇹 Diego and Margerita. We sat through the most delightful tasting with Diego, complemented by amazing grazzini cheeses and meats. Listening to the beautiful history about Margerita’s grandfather and how they’re creating a small legacy for their next generation – such an amazing and authentic experience. I would STRONGLY recommend everyone to visit them! Their bottles are priced really well. We ended up buying the Roero blanco and a Nebbiolo Alba and Barbera Alba

We had an amazing time at Pqlin. Diego and Margherita were very welcoming and helpful despite us only calling a couple hours in advance and them having work to do. Their place is very nice and they were happy to show us around and answer all of our questions about their wines. Diego speaks English which was very helpful for us.
The wine tasting was great and came accompanied by a variety of things including regional cheeses, homemade salamis and quiches. Their prices for the tasting and the wines were more than fair, even for us as students.
The Passì (their dessert wine) is not included in their 4 wine tasting but 100% worth trying as well, it’s very good. All in all, we had the best experience at Pqlin and would definitely recommend Diego’s and Margherita’s place to anyone looking to do a tasting or to buy some excellent local wines

Memorable visit. Stopped in for a tasting and were treated to three cheese, two charcuterie, bread sticks, hazelnuts, fresh cherries and cookies to accompany the wine. The owners are exceptionally hospitable. We ended up getting a case and they were packaged nicely for taking on the plane.
