Tojo winery was founded at the end of the 19th century by our great-grandfather Vittorio, known to all as Tojo.
Initially, the business was focused on the production of bulk wine for a private clientele, and over the years it has been passed down from generation to generation.
In 2013, after completing his studies in Oenology, Francesco decided to continue the family business, introducing some innovations to best enhance our territory and our products.
After three years of experiments between the vineyards and the cellar, in 2016 we launched our line of bottles.
In 2019, Delia, Francesco’s younger sister, also joined the company, after an experience in another reality in the sector.
Our winery is located in Santo Stefano Belbo (CN), a small village between Langhe and Monferrato, with about 5 hectares of vineyards facing south, which offer ideal conditions for growing grapes. We love our work and we transform the fruits of our land into wine. For us, this means passion, culture, history, family and conviviality. Cantina Tojo is still family-run and produces small quantities of selected wines every year, the result of grapes vinified with the same care and expertise that characterize the great tradition of Piedmontese winemakers.

FIRST STOP:
1st panoramic point and stories by Cesare Pavese
The first panoramic point you will reach will be the Terrazza Tojo, one of the most evocative places ever and the setting for Cesare Pavese’s stories. In front of you you can admire the Gaminella hill, the medieval tower and the Church of the Madonna della Neve in Moncucco.
SECOND STAGE:
2nd panoramic point
You will then head towards Canelli, arriving at the Torre dei Contini, another place with a breathtaking view.
From this point on, you will be free to head towards the route you prefer, more or less long, and then return to the Tojo winery.
THIRD STAGE:
Tasting
At the end of the e-bike tour, we will welcome you to let you try our tasting. Tasting of three of our wines, allowing you to savor the fruits of our labor and appreciate the nuances of flavors that characterize our territory.
Everything will be accompanied by cheeses and cured meats from small artisans of the Territory.

In the mouth it is persistent, warm, enveloping and with good minerality
Delianna – Barbera d’Asti docg Superiore

An intense ruby red color, with purple veins.
The aroma is broad and varied, where notes of tobacco, chocolate and toasting prevail, accompanied by elegant nuances of fresh red fruits and spices.
In the mouth the wine is powerful, full. A good structure is supported by an excellent acidic push, which helps to give the wine greater freshness and persistence.
Ribota – Barbera d’Asti docg
100% Barbera d’Asti
An intense ruby red color, with purple reflections
On the nose an intense aroma with a prevalence of red fruits, blackberries, raspberries with a slightly spicy finish. In the mouth it is intense, a perfect balance between freshness and structure.
Ideal to drink in company, at a meat-based dinner, but also as an aperitif with fish if served fresh.
Farinella – Langhe doc Favorita
100% Favorita
A straw yellow color with greenish reflections.
On the nose it shows a beautiful bouquet of flowers and white-fleshed fruit.
The mouth is in perfect balance between softness and freshness, and this allows the wine a certain persistence.
Melis – Moscato di Canelli docg
100% Moscato bianco di Canelli
The typical aromatic fragrance of the Moscato grape gives the wine notes of hawthorn and orange blossom. The straw-yellow color reflects the heat of the sun.
In the mouth it is explosive, characterized by a good balance between sweetness and acidity. It always invites you to the next glass and stimulates curiosity.
Lo Sfizio – Vino da uve stramature
100% Moscato bianco di Canelli
The old and the new, experience and innovation in a single bottle.
The bouquet is very delicate, characterized not only by the typical aroma, but also by notes of evolution, toasting, vanilla.
The mouth is soft, warm, attenuated by a light acidity. Notes of honey and tropical fruit stand out and persist pleasantly.
